Herbert Smith (trumpet), Paul Mastriani (drums), and Peter Chwazik (acoustic bass) collectively have performed with some of the most prolific artists in the music industry including Aretha Franklin, Chuck Mangione, Bo Diddley, and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. On a local level, they have collaborated with the Hochstein School of Music and Dance as well as the Aesthetic Education Institute and Tompkins Community College.

Language of Jazz
Experience an educational and entertaining performance that teaches students about the instruments and musicians in a Jazz Band, and the important roles each provides the whole group in the roles of soloist and ensemble member. Demonstrations of Jazz styles will include Latin, Swing, Blues, and Contemporary music. Improvisation is emphasized, and student audiences will be invited to participate in a scat lesson to provide vocal accompaniment with musicians. (K-12)
